We didn't think that was good enough. We wanted the texture and separation sea salt spray is known for, but built on a formula that double duties as a conditioning styling cream for a real hold.

Most sea-salt looks take two products — a spray for the grit, then something else to actually hold it in place. Gritty Paste does both jobs in one tube.

HOW TO USE

Rub a small to medium amount between your palms. Work evenly through dry hair. Use your fingertips to build separation and movement. Want more texture? Use more — this stuff doesn't punish you for going heavy.

For extra volume: blow-dry first, then apply.

Will it make my hair crunchy? No. One of our goals with Gritty Paste was to make a product that left your hair feeling softer and healthier than before. 

Is it matte? Yes — this is a true matte finish.

Can I restyle it? Yes. Run your fingers through it and reshape whenever.

Does it wash out easily? Yes — Gritty Paste is water-based. Just use shampoo and you're done. No special routine needed.

Does it work on fine hair? Yes — fine hair usually sees the biggest volume jump.
