Winnerwell® Fireproof Mat 31.5'' x 38.5'' Fiberglass-Silicone

The Winnerwell® Fireproof Mat 31.5'' x 38.5'' Fiberglass-Silicone is made from fiberglass with a heat-resistant silicone coating, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C. Place it underneath your stove to protect your groundsheet from sparks or embers that may escape the stove. Additionally, the mat can be hung on the wall of a tent or shelter behind the stove using its riveted grommets, providing protection from the stove's heat.

The main function of a fireproof mat is to prevent direct contact between flames or sparks and flammable surfaces. However, due to its thin design, its heat insulation is limited. During prolonged stove use, carbon may accumulate at the bottom of the firebox. If the firebox is too close to the ground, heat may transfer through the mat, potentially causing overheating and damage to the ground or tent floor.

1. Heat may still transfer to the ground if stray embers are not dealt with promptly.
2. The mat will not protect the groundsheet if embers are left to burn on it.
